After a one-year medical aid program in Central African nation of Chad, Zhang Jinghui and his team returned to China to reunite with their families before the 2019 Spring Festival.
在结束了为期1年的医疗援非项目后，张景辉和他的团队跨洲渡洋8600多公里终于赶在2019新年前回到了家。

"I heal patients every day but staying with families heals me all the time," Zhang told the Global Times on Monday.
“我治好过数不清的病人，但是只有回家，才能治愈我。”张景辉近日向环球时报袒露心迹。
"I am happy to come back and reunite with my family…but also very sad as my mom died…" Zhang said.
“这次久别回家，和家人们团圆，是说不出的温暖……可是，为人子的我却只在母亲弥留之际尽了两个月的孝，如今父亲也卧病在床……”张医生叹息道。

Zhang learned his mother was dying after half a year in Chad, but he chose to stay until the end of the program. "I couldn't abandon my team," said Zhang. Luckily he was able to join his mother in her last two months after returning.
张医生是在乍得待了半年后得知母亲重病的噩耗的。“我恨不得立刻飞回去了，但是我不能。如果丢下一队医生，我不放心。所以我只能天天发微信指导家人护理母亲。”

Zhang, a general surgeon in East China's Jiangxi Province, led a medical aid team organized by Chinese health authorities to Chad in November 2017.
张景辉，本是一名江西省上饶市的普外医生，于2017年11月带领中国第13批援乍得医疗队赴非支援。
The team included 10 doctors, who took an eight-month French language course, Chad's official language, before leaving China.
这支队伍由10名来自江西的医生组成。为了能在当地顺利开展治病救人工作，他们在出国前接受了为期八个月的法语培训。法语，是乍得的官方语言之一。
"I still remember the moment when my wife held my newborn twins and saw me off at the airport…" Jiang Zhusheng, another doctor from the team, told the Global Times on Monday.
队伍里的一名骨科医生江竹生接受环球时报采访时说：“出发前老婆抱着我刚出生没多久的双胞胎孩子在机场送我的那一幕，好像就在昨天。”

Volunteer doctors suffered from not only a lack of medical equipment for surgery but also poor internet conditions to video chat with their families, Jiang said.
到乍得后才发现还是国内条件好。乍得当地不仅医疗设备紧缺很多手术难以开展，网络也都是2G、3G的，又卡又慢，每当想家时几乎只能微信文字联络，江医生说道。

"I felt bad that I couldn't be with my babies in their first year…," said Jiang, noting that he felt honored to have helped patients in Chad.
“我很惭愧，没能在孩子出生的第一年陪在他们身边……不过，如果还需要我去援非，我还会去!”
As the Spring Festival on February 5 approaches, family reunions are standard for most Chinese people. However, Zhang and Jiang are still busy at work after back from Chad that they both have not begun to prepare for the Chinese New Year.
2019年的春节就要来了，千千万万的中国人都踏上了回家的旅途。张医生和江医生告诉记者，他们回国后又在治病救人的一线忙碌起来，还没开始准备年货。但好在今年，在家过年……
